Historic downtown district and turn-of-the-century town square.

In 2007, Woodstock was recognized as a Distinctive Destination by the National Trust for Historic Preservation. Known for its Historic Woodstock Square, the downtown offers many shops and retail establishments in a unique and nostalgic atmosphere.  Beyond the square area, there are businesses located throughout Woodstock and Route 47.

Throughout the year, Woodstock hosts many events, festivals and fairs including Groundhog Days. Groundhog Days is when the town celebrates Woodstock’s starring role as Punxsutawney, PA in the 1992 Bill Murray classic movie Groundhog Day. Other festivals include the Fair Diddly Art Fair, Summer Band Concerts, Farmer’s Markets, Midwest Mozart Festival and the Victorian Christmas Celebration. 

Dining, Entertainment, and Shopping

Woodstock is home to some great dining! Stop by the Public House of Woodstock for traditional meals served in a renovated historic courthouse with a seasonal patio. The Double Yolk Cafe is located in Historic Woodstock Square is a family-owned restaurant that has breakfast favorites, sandwiches, salads, daily specials, and kid’s menus. 

If you are looking for good food and drinks, take a ride to D. C. Cobb’s  for their award-winning burgers and made-from-scratch kitchen.
